What is the Werne Inclusion Center?

The Werne Inclusion Center is a self-help group committed to barrier-free participation in all areas of life. We offer people with disabilities a platform for exchange, support, and networking with relevant stakeholders.

What is barrier-free Participation?

Barrier-free participation means that all people – regardless of physical, mental, or sensory limitations – can participate equally in social life. It is about removing barriers and creating an environment in which everyone can act independently. Barriers are not only physical, such as stairs or a lack of elevators, but can also be found in communication, digital services, or bureaucratic hurdles. The goal is to promote an inclusive society in which no one is excluded through targeted measures, awareness-raising, and support. Our inclusion meeting is committed to precisely this: We connect those affected, provide information about support options, and demonstrate solutions to achieve greater accessibility in all areas of life.

Our Self-Help Group’s Goal

Our mission is to break down barriers and actively promote inclusion. Barriers are not just external—they often start in the mind and at home. Together, we want to overcome these obstacles and pave the way for an inclusive future. Through regular meetings and collaborations with companies, authorities, and organizations, we aim to develop practical solutions for better participation.

Meeting Frequency & Venue

The self-help group meets once a month, with an expected start in May.

At each meeting, authorities, companies, and organizations will be invited to present their services.

The venue, dates, and times will be announced soon and can be booked under the "Events" section on our website.
